The Five Principles of a Conscious Business

The Five Principles of a Conscious Business

What is a conscious business? At Synchromind we define it as a business where conscious human beings work and create with a clear intention.

Some might argue, "Business is all about profit, putting money above everything."

But if you are reading this, very likely you comprehend that a business goes beyond just chasing money.

So, what does it mean to make a conscious product? We've outlined our five fundamental principles of conscious business:

  1. People First Mindset: prioritise the well-being, needs, and experiences of individuals above all else, practising empathy, respect, and inclusivity in decision-making and actions. This is true equally for our workforce and customers.

  2. Use “Dream Customers“ instead of “Target Audience“ since everybody avoids being a target, especially with all the wars around us, We are thinking of our customers as dream customers, ideal clients, and fellow travellers on our business journey.

  3. Compliment our Competitors by calling them “Colleagues Working in the Same Field as Us“ because the word "competitors" immediately implies some very ancient narratives about "fighting for a place under the sun". But we're just doing the same thing. It is better to learn from colleagues, it is better to unite with colleagues for joint initiatives, it is more interesting to live with colleagues than with competitors.

  4. Ask ourselves: How Can I Best Serve the Whole? and our answer is "Make decisions based on deep values". We study ourselves, our business, and our colleagues to better understand our shared values. Our core values are PEACE: Playfulness, Empathy, Accountability, Connection, and Ethics. And when we make a business decision, we first of all ask ourselves, does this decision reflect our values? Or does it contradict them? A conscious business is about conscious actions, thoughts, presence, and responsibility because what we put out has consequences, some of them long-term.

  5. Take Care of Our Resources We need to invest our own resources, energy, time, and money in our business. So we need to teach everyone how to attract, grow and pass them forward. We do through various coaches: Gene Keys, Mindfulness, Story telling, etc

A conscious business begins with asking, "How can I use my observations, emotions, and knowledge to offer something valuable to others?" A conscious product is something so cool that it effortlessly promotes itself, without the need for intensive marketing. It's about building a company, products, community, and services with a deep purpose for the customer while engaging with and taking care of all stakeholders in your ecosystem. It's about building something so good that it is being used for the right reasons. So the belief is that the product will reach the right people at the right time.

Let's become conscious together!
